Get involved with the moon walk

moon walk volunteers

11 June 2011 will see the 6th annual Moon Walk in Edinburgh.

MoonWalk organisers, breast cancer charity Walk the Walk are looking for volunteers to help make sure that next year’s event is the best yet.

Over 10,000 women and men will be walking through the streets of Edinburgh at Midnight wearing brightly decorated bras to raise money for the care of cancer patients in Scotland and they need your help to make it happen!!

Steve Hampson, head of volunteering and walker support at Walk the Walk said:

We need hundreds of volunteers to help make our event a success. There are loads of different roles that people can get involved with – including marshalling around the streets of Edinburgh, joining the cycling support team, handing out medals on the finish line, registering and supporting participants.

Volunteers may also have the opportunity to take part in an exchange programme with The MoonWalk London through the Wave of Friendship initiative.

If you want to find out more and register as a volunteer visit the MoonWalk website.
