Parent Advocates Together (PAT) is an independent parent advocacy group based in the UK speaking up for parents with disabled children and children with additional needs. We are dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children, their carers and their families.
We believe that people will achieve more by working together than they can by working alone. We support the efforts of those who seek success through that co-operative endeavour.
We believe that the only way to create a just and fair society is through power being spread evenly throughout society, and not arbitrarily based on wealth, class, gender or race.
PAT affiliations and memberships include the End Child Poverty coalition, the Every Disabled Child Matters campaign, The Child Rights Information Network, Merseyside Partners in Policymaking, The Every Parent Matters Network, Cheshire and Merseyside Child Health Development Group, The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, Contact-a-Family, Mencap, Sefton Advocacy Forum, Action for Advocacy, Sefton Community Empowerment Network, and the Choice Forum.
