“I really enjoy the fact that the volunteering work I do is so different from my day job in IT.

I have learned lots on a subject which I always had an interest, and really enjoy the social evenings where presentations are run on similar subjects, such as water conservation.
 
“It is great to engage with the public especially at events, my favourites being TreeFest and Gorgie City Farm open day.

I had great fun giving a presentation to a class of nursery children a while back, even helping them put in their first compost bin!”
