“I am passionate about green issues,
specifically about how modern families can fit green initiatives into their everyday lives without feeling that they have to be eco warriors or holier than thou, but just that small changes can make such a big difference.
Real nappies also have such a positive impact on the family budget, which is important in this current financial climate.
“Expectant mums can be bombarded with information from books, health care workers, telly and the internet – it is great to pass on my knowledge and experience.
I know that I would have appreciated that when I was pregnant with my lot.
“A hugely important part of volunteering for me is the experience that it gives me.
As a stay at home mum for the last five years I have no recent work history or references, however volunteering keeps me involved with the world outside of my home.
When the time comes to go back to work my CV will have many positive experiences to draw on as well as references.”
Zoë Emmerson, Morningside, mum of four, Changeworks Real Nappy Project Volunteer
